You’re Invited: Sunday, June 23
This alternative style photography exhibition explores personal identity as it intersects with Activism. Students researched the story and legacy of Edwin T. Pratt and referenced artist such as Daesha Dévon Harris. They coupled their own imagery and personal objects with text, existing imagery and narrative pulled from the Pratt Legacy Collection at Black Heritage Society as a means to tell stories about their own identity. Building on strengths in Digital Photography, students explored hands on techniques of Cyanotype printing producing the iconic blue and white imagery. The final work demonstrates the influence of Seattle’s history and our student’s desires for social change today.
Snacks will be provided! Open to the public!
