CARLY MCDOWELL

Development Consultant

Carly (she/her) joined Coyote Central as a Development Consultant in Summer of 2024. She brings with her achievements in and love for building relationships and resources that allow nonprofits to expand and grow. She grew up primarily in New York and made the move to Seattle for college at UW, studying child psychology and communications. Her professional journey includes serving in a number of key development roles for organizations such as Seattle Children’s Foundation and Guild Association and Rotary Club, as well as Executive Director for Vancouver Symphony Orchestra in Vancouver, WA. Carly has also worked as a consultant in development, marketing, and board development. Currently, she is writing her first children’s book and is creating a series of e-books for development professionals.

When not working, Carly enjoys spending time with family and friends, being on the water, gardening, designing outdoor living spaces, and playing any piano she finds. She likes to create music based on sounds and experiences inspired by nature and real life.  

Fun fact: In high school, Carly performed in an internationally recognized steel drum band, produced an album, and mostly lived in a band bus traveling with her second family from gig to gig around New York and Boston.
