 Volunteer Opportunities

Coyote Central sparks creativity in young people, putting tools in their hands to build skills and forge their future. Over 1,000 young people ages 10 to 15 come to Coyote Central year-round for hands-on workshops with professional artists, chefs, furniture makers, fashion designers, metal artists, animators, dancers, filmmakers, and many other creative people.

Coyote Central culture is grounded in equity, ingenuity, collaboration, and fun. Any new member of the team will be welcomed warmly but also challenged to perform at a high level. Every member of the staff has an equal voice in collaborative decision making, and every member shares an investment in and commitment to the organization and its mission. We serve a lot of kids with a very small staff because each of us is both efficient and committed to Coyote Central and its community.

BECOME A YOUTH ARTIST ASSISTANT

Are you between 15-19 years old and interested in a career in the arts? Do you want to gain hands-on experience teaching art to kids? Coyote Central is looking for creative young folks to join our Youth Artist Assistants Program (YAAP)! Youth Artist Assistants have an excitement for the arts and support Teaching Artists in studio courses at Coyote Central during the Summer.

EQUITY & INCLUSION TASK FORCE

At Coyote Central, we are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive environment where every person can be accepted as their whole self. We recognize that this takes work, and that this work must be collective and community based. That is why we have formed our Equity & Inclusion Task Force (EITF). If you would like to join, get in touch for updates by emailing alex@coyotecentral.org.

We are currently reimagining the role and makeup of this group. Updates to come in 2024!
