Show off your baking skills with this foolproof dessert! Go with the basics or throw in some nuts, top with sprinkles, or jazz it up in other ways. Get creative!

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

For the brownies:

  • 3/4 cup melted butter

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

  • 3 eggs

  • 3/4 cup flour (we used gluten free 1:1 and it worked just as well!)

  • 1/2 cup cocoa

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

For the frosting:

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1 1/2 tbsp milk (we used half and half because that’s what we had on hand)

  • 1 1/2 tbsp butter (solid)

  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (or chocolate bar chunks, whichever you have available)

HOW TO DO IT:

For the brownies:

  • In a bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add your eggs and mix well.

  • In separate bowl, combine the remainder of your dry ingredients: flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.

  • Add dry ingredients into the egg mixture and mix until well blended.

  • Spread into a 9x9 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 27-29 minutes

For the frosting:

  • While your brownies are baking, mix 1/3 cup sugar, milk, and butter in a small sauce pan on medium-high heat.

  • Bring to a boil for 30 seconds then remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips or chunks until they are all melted.

  • Pour frosting over your brownies immediately. Add sprinkles/nuts/maldon salt, or whatever toppings you desire immediately.

  • Allow to cool + devour!
