CENTER THE VOICES AND LEADERSHIP OF OUR BLACK, INDIGENOUS, AND POC TEACHING ARTISTS, STUDENTS, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS
+ Build authentic relationships with the Black community and expand our outreach methods to increase our number of Black, Indigenous, and POC board members, teaching artists, and staff. [Ongoing]
+ Support our Black, Indigenous and POC teachers by posting their events, showcases, and performances on our calendar, as well as increasing staff presence at their events. [Aug. 2020]

LEVERAGE COYOTE’S ASSETS TO SUPPORT BLACK-LED ORGANIZATIONS
+ Provide free or discounted use of Coyote Central and North for Black-led organizations or groups. [Ongoing]
+ Exhibit the work of youth and professional artists in gallery spaces at Central and North, with a focus on Black, Indigenous and POC artists. [Jun. 2021]
+ Purchase supplies, catering, and other services from Black-owned businesses. [Ongoing]
EDUCATE AND RALLY OUR YOUTH IN SPEAKING OUT AGAINST RACIAL INJUSTICE
+ Support the Seattle Children's March youth committee and Coyote Youth Advisory Board in ongoing youth advocacy. [Jun. 2020]
+ Create special programming in Arts & Activism. [Nov. 2020]
+ Integrate social justice into Coyote curricula by highlighting the work of Black, Indigenous, and POC artists and/or using social-justice themed ice breakers and other strategies. [Sept. 2020]
CONTINUE TO WORK TOWARDS AN ANTI-RACIST SOCIETY INDEFINITELY
+ Hold ongoing anti-racism training for staff, board, and teaching artists and integrate ongoing conversations about equity into our regular meetings. [Feb. 2021]
+ Convene Equity and Inclusion Task Force (EITF) of youth, parents, teaching artists, staff and board every month to inform and oversee Coyote's anti-racism work. [Ongoing]
+ Conduct an annual formal assessment of Coyote's progress towards accountability to the Black community and to being an anti-racist organization. [Sept. 2021]
+ Help dismantle the racist philanthropic system by applying the strategies of the Community-Centric Fundraising (CCF) movement to Coyote's fund development and promoting those strategies in the community. [Jul. 2020]
